The foundational reference layer for arevdata.
This section groups the package’s country, city, language, phone-code, and currency datasets together with the flag asset helpers they depend on.
The countries array is the central dataset of arev. It contains ~195 sovereign states following the ISO 3166-1 standard, covering every continent.
arevdata includes normalized postal address metadata for every bundled country. The data is based on Google’s public address metadata, with a generic fallback for countries the upstream dataset does not cover.
The phoneCountryCodes array is ready-to-use data for international phone number inputs (like WhatsApp, Stripe, or any contact form). It combines all sovereign countries with additional territories and special regions that have their own dialling codes.
The cities array contains ~270 major world cities, including every national capital. Each city has coordinates (lat/lon), country code, and population where available.
The states array contains 5,000+ administrative divisions across every country in the dataset. It is backed by ISO 3166-2 subdivision data, normalized into a consistent set of types such as states, provinces, territories, districts, municipalities, counties, and regions.
